Pre-Season Training with the Surf City First Aid Squad (required for all Lifeguards)

When:               Monday, June 9 – 7PM (this will only require an hour or so)

What:               In addition to meeting the Surf City first aid squad this is the first opportunity for the new lifeguards to meet the returning lifeguards.  This is also an opportunity for all lifeguards to ask the local first aid squad any questions they may have regarding responses from the previous season.  Topics covered will include stabilization and transportation of various injuries, proper oxygen usage, radio procedure, and bloodborne pathogens precautions.

Where:             Surf City Borough Hall, 813 Long Beach Boulevard, Surf City, NJ 08008

I would ask that all guards make an effort to make this date.  It won’t take long and will give us an opportunity not only to review some First Aid procedures and meet the First Aid squad, but it will also be the first time that the entire squad will be together before the orientation meeting.
